What Speedbox do I need for my Shimano motor?

What Speedbox do I need for my Shimano motor?

The Speedbox 1.2 & 1.3 comes in two options; Standard or Satellite System. In this post, we are going to explain what the differences are and how to know what chip you need.

Standard Version (1.2 & 1.3)

The standard version is for eBikes that have a spare eTube port on the motor. You can quickly check this by removing your motor cover and checking the available ports.

Here's what a spare eTube port looks like, as you can see there is a spare port in the middle.

If your motor looks like this, you will need the standard version of the Speedbox.

Here are direct links to the correct versions:

If your eBike is fitted with a Shimano E8000, E7000 or E6100 motor and has the spare port choose either of these:

If your eBike is fitted with a Shimano EP8, EP800 or EP8RS motor and has the spare port then choose either of these

Satellite System Version (1.2 & 1.3)

The Satellite System version is for eBikes without a spare eTube port on the motor. These models will have an on/off switch on the top tube like this:

If your eBike has this switch on the top tube, you will need the 'Satellite System' version of the Speedbox.

Here are direct links to the correct versions:

If your eBike is fitted with a Shimano E8000, E7000, E6100 or E5000 motor and doesn't have the spare port choose either of these:

Speedbox 1.2 Shimano 'Satellite System' - Shop Now

Speedbox 1.2 B.Tuning Shimano 'Satellite System' - Shop Now

If your eBike is fitted with a Shimano EP8, EP800 or EP8RS motor and doesn't have the spare port, choose either of these:
