New for 2025. This Speedbox works with eBikes fitted with a Bosch Smart System (Gen5) motor + Rim Magnet Sensor. Once fitted, it removes the 15mph or 20mph factory speed limit, allowing you to enjoy faster, unrestricted rides. It can be switched on or off at anytime using the handlebar controls. It's also compatible with the latest 16.19 software update
Does your bike have a digital display? If not, we recommend the SpeedBox 1.6 B.Tuning. Bluetooth enabled - this version offers the easiest way to use your tuning kit via Speedbox app (available for iPhone or Android)
Installation Info (Read Before You Buy)
This tuning kit is a moderate to advanced installation, click here to see how it's fitted. It comes with three key components:
• Tuning module
• Replacement speed sensor
• Electromagnet unit
For some bikes, the motor may need to be removed to install the electromagnet. The factory speed sensor is removed and replaced with a wired sensor, which is mounted to the chainstay. If you’re not comfortable working on your eBike’s motor, we highly recommend having it installed by a professional bike technician.

- Smart system models are equipped with either an LED remote or System Controller. Some models also have either a Kiox 300 or Intuvia 100 display
- This tuning kit is not compatible with models equipped with ABS system

Software Updates
Software Updates
Updating your eBike’s motor firmware may block or disable your tuning kit.
We recommend avoiding firmware updates especially through service centres unless absolutely necessary. Most updates are optional, and a working eBike doesn’t usually need one.
Keep in mind:
✔ Firmware upgrades can remove tuning compatibility
✔ Tuning is only guaranteed to work with the firmware version available at time of purchase
✔ A blocked tuning kit due to a firmware update is not covered under warranty
