Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work with my eBike?

Works with any eBike powered by an older Bosch motor (2014-2023). These motors have square ports on them.

For bikes from 2023 onwards with round ports on them, you will have a 'smart system' motor - shop here

Please note, this tuning kit only works on eBikes with 25-32kmh factory speed limit. Youth (20kmh) & Class 3 (45kmh) are not supported

How long does it take to fit?

VOLspeed V4 is easy to install, most riders are up and running within 30 minutes. You can take a look at the instruction manual here

What's covered by the warranty?

All VOLspeed products come with a 2-year warranty. In the unlikely event your product develops a fault or defect. We will replace it with a new one.

Firmware Updates

Updating your eBike’s motor firmware may block or disable your tuning kit.

We recommend avoiding firmware updates unless absolutely necessary. Most updates are optional, and a working eBike doesn’t usually need one.

Keep in mind:

✔ Firmware upgrades can remove tuning compatibility

✔ Tuning is only guaranteed to work with the firmware version available at time of purchase

✔ A blocked tuning kit due to a firmware update is not covered under warranty
