This kit will work with any eBike powered by a Bosch Smart System motor (except bikes with Rim Magnet sensors, see example here).

The most common smart system motors are: Performance Line, Performance Line CX, Cargo Line, and Active Line.

If your eBike has an older Bosch motor (2014-2022) with a Purion, Intuvia or original Kiox display. You have a non-smart model (shop here)

Please note, this tuning kit only works on eBikes with 25-32kmh factory speed limit. Youth (20kmh) & Class 3 (45kmh) are not supported

VOLspeed Smart is easy to install. Most riders can fit it in under 30 minutes without specialist tools or skills. You can take a look at the instruction manual here

Unfortunately none of our tuning kits are guaranteed against error codes.

To reduce the risk of errors, follow these steps:

- Avoid updating the firmware of your e-bike. Updating increases the risk of tuning detection

- Disable automatic updates in the eBike Flow App

- Activate/deactivate the tuning before the ride (when the e-bike is standing still), not during riding

Updating your eBike’s motor firmware may block or disable your tuning kit.

We recommend avoiding firmware updates—especially through service centres—unless absolutely necessary. Most updates are optional, and a working eBike doesn’t usually need one.

Keep in mind:

✔ Firmware upgrades can remove tuning compatibility

✔ Tuning is only guaranteed to work with the firmware version available at time of purchase

✔ A blocked tuning kit due to a firmware update is not covered under warranty
