Seeing as the Bosch performance line cx Gen 5 motor is newish and operates with the smart system I was very aware there maybe implications fitting a derestrictor.
The bike has a rim magnet so when choosing a unit the Volspeed jumped out as there are no additional unsightly wires to run.
Ordering the unit was flawless and infact it turned up earlier than expected.

The fitting was relatively easy, I found it easier to have the bike upside-down (2025 Whyte Kado Rsx)
Remove covers, disconect wires, drop the chain off and unbolt as necessary. On the Kado there is a plate to remove before the motor can be removed, bit of a fiddle but ok to get too, unbolt the motor and remove from the
frame.
Fit the unit to the motor using the longest spring clip provided and then refit. There is plenty of room on the Kado rsx for this unit so don't worry about space, rebuild and then turn the bike upright.
Turn on the bike and carry out the programing as invthe booklet.
And then smile when taking the bike for its first spin!!
Touch wood all seems fine, speed is set at 28.1mph, this allows me to ride the bike without hitting that wall at around 15/16mph, you can happily ride around 18/19/20mph. I have done a 20 mile ride and found the battery definitely used more than usual but I have been pushing it.
What I have found is you easily out pedal the bikes gearing, I use my bike both on and off road so if I could get a 38 front ring gear that would be a game changer!
If like me you need to get past that wall and have fun do it!!! Great little upgrade.

I installed the Speedbox 3.2 on my Giant Fathom e-bike, and it made a huge difference — now the bike reaches 31 mph! Honestly, this is exactly how the bike should have come from the factory, especially considering the price I paid. If you want to get the most out of your e-bike’s speed, this is definitely worth it. Mind you you have to put the work in to get to that speed 🥵

Transformed my bike , only wanted an extra couple of mph on the flat trails and it’s done it perfectly , restricted to 20 mph for now and it works perfectly .

After speaking to customer service and reading very positive reviews, I went ahead and purchased the VOLspeed V3 for my Haibike Trekking 5. Fitting and setting up was very easy and straight forward, if you follow the instructions carefully, but it did take a little time to get the extra wires and chip back in safety. I've been out on several rides since fitting the device and, I have to say, it's completely transformed my bike and riding experience. No more 'brick wall' and now I can ride at my own pace. I loved my bike before fitting the chip but now I love it even more. Thanks to everybody at Ebike Tuner for more smiles per miles.

Well what can I say about this product ITS THE DOGS NUTS . This is the first ebike I've had was getting fed up with it shutting off at 15 mph . Then was told about this chip and wow its made it even more fun I can't stop smiling. So I have a cube stereo T140 bosch motor it's so easy it fit even the wife could do it so if your reading this review just do it bro you won't regret it 🤘🤘🤘👌👌👌 well done guys this is the best investment I've made in a long while .
