If you’re looking to unlock the full potential of your Bosch eBike, the VOLspeed V2 Bosch Smart System Tuning Kit offers reliable yet cost-effective solution. Designed for performance and flexibility, this tuning chip allows you to remove speed restrictions without compromising safety or control.
Compatibility
This tuning kit will work with any eBike powered by a Bosch Smart System motor (excludes those fitted with a rim-magnet sensor or ABS). If your bike is fitted with an older display (shown on the left hand side of this diagram). You will need this tuning kit instead.

The process is plug-and-play, so you won’t need any complex tools or technical expertise to get it up and running. The chip seamlessly integrates with Bosch Smart System motors, preserving the integrity of your eBike.
Speed & Performance
One of the standout features of this tuning kit is the ability to easily set a new max speed on the bike (up to 28mph/45kmh). Upon first installation, you'll be required to set a new max speed using the handlebar controls. Whenever you wish to derestrict your bike, simply activate the chip to remove the factory speed limit and set it to your chosen max speed.
Customisation & Control
This kit allows riders to easily customise their speed settings directly from the display. You can toggle the tuning on or off, giving you flexibility depending on the type of ride or local regulations. This makes the tuning kit ideal for riders who want both performance enhancements and everyday usability.
If you bike is fitted without a display, you will need to use the Bosch flow app to customise your max speed. Once you have selected your chosen speed, you do not need to continue using the app if you don't want to.

Whilst no tuning kit is 100% guarantee against error codes, especially on the Bosch Smart System. VOLspeed has one of the lowest error rates on the market due to it's superior anti tuning detection. Does the use of de restricting kit damage the motor or battery please ?

Thanks for getting in touch, Martin. Battery life isn’t affected too much if you ride in eco/tour, riding on turbo and high speed will cause more drain on the battery.
So far we cannot get it to work. We are having a hard time setting it up because it is not picking up the magnet on the wheel. The installation video shows it being installed on a commuter style e-bike not a high performance Mtn bike like mine. Unno Mith any ideas on how we can get it working?

I bought a bike tuner for my son last month and I was going to send it back but he wanted to keep so I went to a bike shop on Saturday and it’s been put in and it’s done by instructions but it my pedal assist isn’t working since putting it in it won’t work when I hold the minus for 3 seconds nothing shows up the speed monitor just stays at zero an when u pedal after 10 seconds is comes up with 50.3 error
